The VCRC Helo jacket is made with Dintex-Fleecy, a midweight softshell that has a bonded waterproof membrane sandwiched between a polyester outer fabric and microfleece inner fabric. The result is an relatively light jacket that you can use on or off the water.
Most of this jacket is dye sublimation printed. It is more expensive that the VCRC Splash Jacket because there is more stitching involved and the design is more complex. Rear tuck pockets are standard.
For off-water and casual wear, front pockets (zippered) and looser cut sleeves are a recommended modification. (The addition of front pockets adds a lightweight layer of fabric to the inside of the jacket front).
A hood can be substituted instead of the collar.
