From the Artist of this beautiful design:

Gilakas’la I am John Lyall, a Kwakwaka’wakw artist from the 4 tribes of the Musgamagw. I am from the Coon and Dick families of Gilford Island and Kingcome Inlet. I have been fortunate to come from a strong line of artists in my family, including my Chief Chas Coon, cousins Vinnie Shaughnessy, Beau Dick & Francis Dick. I am currently an educator in SD 62, and director of Thunder Indigenous Rugby.

This design introduces the majestic Eagle or “Kwikw” inside the logo of the Victoria Rowing club. We hope that the athletes and youth of the VCRC will follow the lead of the Eagle and soar together.

Design
Notes

Neck opening and armholes are finished with facing strips of the same fabric as the body with a very slight pull applied.  This creates a close but soft fit (rather than a harder edged elastic trim).

Default option for women's singlet is to have lining in the front panel, but you can add remove it in the options.   Some people like having the lining between them and the embroidery texture while others feel like the extra layer makes the singlet too warm.

Fabric 255 gsm Midweight 92% Polyester 8% Spandex
High 4 way stretch.
Antibacterial treatment is part of the milling process.
Average 50 UPF.
High durability and resistance to abrasion. We have never seen this fabric pill.
